Yesterday night on the Arthur Ashe court, a formidable battle ensuid between Amelie and Serena Williams, a struggle for a spot in the QF. After 3 sets, 6-4 0-6 6-2 and a fantastic match point, the match was Amelie's !!! In the next round she will face the no.12 Dinara Safina who earlier beat Kuznetsova. Having successfully beaten Santangelo on the court yesterday in three sets, 6-3 3-6 6-2 Amelie will face Serena Williams in her 4th round match at the US Open. Currently Serena Williams leads with a 9-1 victory in matches over Amelie, however, it had been a long time since then, and I sincerely hope to see Amelie make the score 9-2 tonight !
